NAPLES, FLORIDA — NOVEMBER 2014 — LAUFEN, the award-winning Swiss-based designer and manufacturer of high-end bathroom solutions, is pleased to announce that the company received two awards during the 2014 Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association’s (DPHA) annual Conference and Product Showcase, which was held at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida from October 16-18th.
Faucets from the innovative LAUFEN product line Kartell by Laufen were singled out in the bathroom products category, and acknowledged with the “Plumbing Product of the Year – Water Delivery” award. During the event, LAUFEN’s U.S. managing director, Javier Korneluk, was also recognized by the prestigious trade organization, and named “Manufacturing Professional of the Year.”
“It is an honor to have been singled out for this award by this prestigious and well-respected organization,” says Korneluk. “I am humbled by this award, and appreciative of what it means to be recognized by my peers, colleagues and longtime associates.”
During the conference awards ceremony, LAUFEN took home top honors as “Plumbing Product of the Year – Water Delivery,” an award issued in recognition of the company’s stylish Kartell by Laufen faucets, a product recently introduced to the U.S. that was created in collaboration with Italian furniture brand Kartell, and the Milan-based designers Ludovica+Roberto Palomba.
“Part of LAUFEN’s mission is to create beautiful bathroom products that combine craftsmanship and supreme functionality,” says Korneluk. “This award is significant because it not only acknowledges LAUFEN’s growing importance as a player in the U.S. decorative hardware plumbing design market, but also recognizes LAUFEN’s deeply held belief that the pursuit of innovation and excellence never goes out of style.”
Korneluk joined LAUFEN just over a year ago. Korneluk, an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience in the kitchen and bath arena, has implemented several new marketing strategies such expanding LAUFEN’s dealer base, hiring new sales and support staff, plus modernizing LAUFEN’s existing logistics systems. Most recently, he spearheaded the opening of a newly centralized warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. He has also successfully introduced LAUFEN signature product collaborations and materials to the North American market by expanding the innovative Kartell by Laufen collection in showrooms across the U.S., as well as by introducing the revolutionary LAUFEN product SaphirKeramik to a larger segment of the U.S. market.
The Decorative Plumbing and Hardware Association (DPHA) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to create competitive advantages for its nearly 400 members by advancing the business and professional development of independent dealers, manufacturers, representatives and others involved in the decorative plumbing and hardware industry.
