For this occasion, Laufen presented a selection of the most iconic products based on collaboration with outstanding designers on the international scene.

This year Laufen participated in IIDEX Canada, Canada’s National Design + Architecture Exposition & Conference that focused on all areas of design: workplace, healthcare, hospitality, retail, education, architecture, landscape architecture, lighting, sustainability, wellness and accessibility. The event annually gathers more than 30,500 trade professionals and invites them to discover new innovations across the building industry and sources the latest materials, products, tools and technologies from more than 1,600 Canadian and international exhibitors. For the Swiss company Laufen, acting globally, participating in such important worldwide trade fairs is a key part of a strategy of operation on the world’s leading markets.

For this reason, a selection among the latest releases and the bestseller products is on display in Laufen’s booth, to show some examples of the variety of solutions offered by Laufen’s catalogue, ranging from decorative to minimal style, with products featuring iconic design and the most advanced technologies.

One of the corners of the booth focused on VAL, the collection designed by Konstantin Grcic, with the most iconic pieces. Grcic explores the possibilities of this collection with its forceful architectural lines and eloquent geometric design, as an expression of the potential and beauty of SaphirKeramik, the ceramic material that has revolutionised the bathroom world on account of its capacity to combine resistance, lightness and slimness.

KARTELL BY LAUFEN, the brand born from the merger of Kartell's renowned plastics and the Laufen’s Swiss ceramic quality shaped by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba’s fertile design, had a dedicated corner too: its protagonist is the freestanding washbasin, presented this year with three different graphic motifs, bringing new decorative and personalized options to the surfaces.

Visitors could also appreciate a very distinct and functional washbasin from INO, the collection in SaphirKeramik created for Laufen by Toan Nguyen, in a contemporary reinterpretation of soft classical forms. The designer concentrated on understated lines, very thin and continuous surfaces, comfortable and organic design, for an effect of exceptional harmony and lightness.

For Laufen IIDEX Canada represented an opportunity to continue to grow on this market, consolidating relationships through participation in prestigious trade events like this one, offering Canadian professionals and consumers a first-hand experience of the excellence of the company’s products.
