BECHYNE, CZECH REPUBLIC

High-quality bathroom ceramics have been produced in the Bechyně factory since 1961. The factory has long been an important economic mainstay of the town, as it is home to the oldest vocational school of ceramics in the Czech Republic. In 1991, Schweizer Keramik Holding AG LAUFEN acquired the factory known as Jihočeská keramika Bechyně (South Bohemian Ceramics Bechyně). In 1999, LAUFEN joined the Spanish ROCA Group and both companies became part of it.

In 2002, the factory merged with the LAUFEN CZ s.r.o. factory in Znojmo to become LAUFEN CZ with headquarters in Prague. Today, Bechyně's state-of-the-art factory manufactures premium bathroom ceramics which are certified to international ISO 9001 quality standards.
